The Caribbean Cultural Center/African Diaspora Institute is a unique cultural arts organization that celebrates the rich cultural heritage and vibrant sacred and creative expressions shared by people of African descent in the New World. Since 1976, the Center has documented the cultural expressions of people of African descent in numerous self-published publications that are available only at the Center.
We publish curriculum guides for parents and teachers, scholarly papers, books on cultural diversity and African theology and numerous exhibition catalogues- all of which are available exclusively at the Center.
Visit our shop and share a gift of knowledge with your family and friends… or treat yourself. You are sure to find a perfect gift or several, from the Caribbean Cultural Center’s selection of publications.
In addition to our publications, the Caribbean Cultural Center’s International Gift Shop is brimming with items that you can find exclusively at the Caribbean Cultural Center. We sell hand-crafted one-of-a-kind items from all parts of the African Diaspora- jewelry, musical instruments, books on African-derived cultures and religion, gift cards, African cloth, books on the Orisha and more! These items make wonderful gifts all year round. Equally important, when you buy from our gift shop, you support the Center and artists of color who keep traditional crafts alive through their beautiful work.
Our International Gift Shop is located in our brownstone building at 408 West 58th Street in Manhattan, which is conveniently located one block west of Columbus Circle. The Center is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please visit.
